Another Hotel
Saturday’s race was a good time. I got set up again by my Bandit teammates and didn’t touch the wind until 200 meters. They covered all the moves and gave me a perfect leadout in the sprint. I told them before that race that I would cover some moves, but during the race decided not to; it’s easier to tell people that you will cover moves than to actually do it. The race was fairly active. The highlight was was when Ryan spent a lap away with Ken Harris. The Bandits all looked at each other and smiled because we knew that he must be in a lot of pain and that made us happy.
After the race we cruised out to Piermont. I was pretty fresh because I didn’t do any work during the race. The Bandits were a bit shelled from all the work so I pushed the pace to make them hurt a little bit; that made me happy. It was a little warmer today so I didn’t freeze. But the real heat is the heat that I took after the races for my clothes. Everything from getting ripped on for my arm warmers falling down, unfashionable toe warmers, my teammates calling me fat… now that’s real heat.
I’m writing this post from another hotel, this time in Rio de Janeiro. ADM begs me not to write boring blogs so let me tell you about what I had for dinner tonight. I went to some Brazilian-style place where they brought meat to the table and cut it onto my plate. When I walked in, they told me that it was all you can eat and the special was meat. It was so on… They gave me a little coin to indicate when I wanted more meat. Green was more and red was stop. Let me just say that green got a lot of action and I am now going to have to sleep on my left side so my stomach can rest on the bed.
The thing with traveling a lot is that I am left doing plyos in the hotel room for exercise. That’s not so bad because I try to be a sprinter and I don’t need a lot of miles because I only do short races these days. The good news is that my hotel is on the beach in Copacabana so I can wake up early and do the plyos on the beach before my meetings.
ADM, is this blog-style enough for you? If you rip on me via email I promise you… I will get back on this thing and start posting about lunch.

Just wanted to leave a comment since you’re jealous of all the responses Ryan gets. I hope you’re not planning to share a pictorial of your hotel plyo routine…

This is a terrible post. I don’t know how many times I have to tell you. Becoming a blogger is not something you should aspire to. You should try and write something witty and entertaining. Like Ryan.
But I agree that the best part of the race was watching Ryan suffer like a dog on Ken’s wheel. I was so happy it wasn’t me.

I don’t who that joker was, but I really liked your post Jeff. Nice race too.
