Survival Camp: Photos
Last weekend the CRCA/Bandit Racing team gathered for its first annual top-secret survival camp. Designed to teach the riders to rely on one another through trust-building exercises, the camp would prove to be the greatest challenge that many of them had ever faced.

The camp began with a treacherous ascent to an undisclosed location deep in the wilderness of New Jersey. This challenging alpine terrain was the setting for days of intense physical training by Los Banditos.

Strength training, part 1: Ryan and ADM put their massive biceps to the ultimate test; as Warren Buffet says, everything’s more fun with a little wager on it.

Strength training, part 2: Justin and Ryan demonstrate a top-secret exercise the team found in a Soviet training manual left behind after the 1980 Olympics.

Bandit medical staff placed each rider on a grueling calorie-restricted diet for the duration of the camp. The team became suspicious one day when Jeff pulled out a can opener and said he was “just going for a little walk.” Here EMH catches him with a can of beans he had stashed behind a rock.

Trust plays a large role in the success of any team. When teammates put their faith in one another anything is possible. A group of four can have the strength of twenty men, as ADM shows by falling into our supportive arms.

You can take this too far, of course.
